Q&A

Find the answers to our most frequently asked questions!

  1. How do I best care for Silk-ka silk flowers?
Our silk flowers and plants are low-maintenance, but a little TLC works wonders! Dust them with a feather duster or use the cold setting on a hair dryer. For stubborn dust, use a soft dry cloth or a special microfibre cloth.
  2. How long do Silk-ka silk flowers last?
Our silk flowers are high-quality and, with proper care, will look beautiful for years. Avoid direct sunlight to prevent fading, and store them in a dry place if not in use.
  3. Can silk flowers be placed in direct sunlight?
You can, but we don’t recommend it. Prolonged direct sunlight may cause fading over time. Also good to know: unfortunately, we can’t guarantee against colour changes caused by sunlight.
  4. Can I mix silk flowers with fresh flowers?
Absolutely! Just be aware that inside the silk stems there’s a wire, and if that comes into contact with water, it can rust, potentially staining the stems, vase, or water.
  5. How should I store silk flowers when not in use?
Store them lying flat or hanging, ideally in a dust-free box or cupboard. Avoid folding them, and make sure they’re not squashed, this keeps their shape and prevents creases.
  6. Can silk flowers be used outdoors?
Our collection is designed for indoor decoration. Outdoors, the material may wear or fade faster due to moisture, wind, and UV light. For temporary styling (e.g. an event), outdoor use is possible.
